Every great space begins with a strong foundation, and for Robert and Barbara Madsen, that foundation is built on family, craftsmanship, and a passion for transforming houses into homes.

Robert grew up in Brookfield, Wisconsin, and Barbara in nearby Milwaukee. In 1985, shortly before marrying, they moved to Florida to pursue a dream. There, Robert launched Rizzo Tile & Marble, a flooring company named in honor of his grandmother’s maiden name, a tribute to heritage, quality, and timeless Italian values.

What began as a humble tile and marble business in Jupiter, Florida, soon evolved into something much more. With a growing reputation for meticulous work and an eye for design, Robert expanded into kitchen cabinetry, residential remodeling, custom home building, and commercial construction. Over the next two decades, the Madsen's built a legacy rooted in integrity, craftsmanship, and personalized service.

In 2006, seeking to raise their two young daughters closer to family, Robert and Barbara returned to their Wisconsin roots. With them came decades of experience and a vision to bring refined design and exceptional cabinetry to homes across Southern Wisconsin.

Back in the heart of Wisconsin, the couple re-established their business with a renewed focus, combining their Florida-honed expertise with a deep appreciation for local values and timeless design. Today, that vision lives on through Madsen Cabinetry, where tradition meets innovation and every project is crafted with care, purpose, and pride. Now joined by their son-in-law, Ethan Omdoll, a passionate designer and co-owner, the family continues to grow the business with fresh ideas, dedication, and a shared commitment to excellence.

Robert Madsen

Founder of Madsen Cabinetry & Design, LLC, Robert brings over 40 years of experience in cabinetry, remodeling, and home building. Originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, he really began his career in Florida with Rizzo Tile & Marble before returning to Wisconsin in 2006. Known for his craftsmanship, artistic eye, and attention to detail, Robert continues to lead with a passion for timeless design, quality workmanship, and customer service. Madsen Cabinetry is a trusted name in the industry.

Barbara Madsen

Co-founder of Madsen Cabinetry & Design, LLC, Barbara plays a vital role in the company’s operations, design support, and overall customer experience. A Milwaukee native, Barbara brings a strong sense of style, organization, and client-focused service to every project. Her dedication to family, community, and quality craftsmanship is reflected in the personal touch she brings to the business, helping clients feel truly at home from the first consultation to the final reveal.
